Etihad Airways is on the verge of signing a deal to order 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliner widebody jets, sources with knowledge of the negotiations told Reuters, marking a significant fleet expansion move for the Abu Dhabi-based carrier.
The 787 Dreamliner is Boeing's flagship long-haul widebody aircraft, prized by airlines for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort on intercontinental routes. A deal of this size would represent a meaningful vote of confidence in Boeing at a time when the American manufacturer has faced intense scrutiny over production quality and safety standards.

For Etihad, the reported order signals an accelerating recovery and growth strategy.
