(NYSE: PACS) announced Monday it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the operations of 34 skilled nursing facilities from Eduro Healthcare, a family-owned operator with nearly two decades of senior care experience. The deal spans six western states — Texas, Montana, South Dakota, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Utah — marking one of the Salt Lake City-based company's largest single portfolio expansions to date.
Texas anchors the transaction with 22 of the 34 facilities, making it by far the dominant geography in the deal. Montana contributes six locations, South Dakota adds three, and New Mexico, North Dakota, and Utah each contribute one facility to the portfolio. The breadth of the acquisition signals PACS Group's intent to deepen its footprint across underserved or growth-oriented markets in the American West.
