Breez SDK Enables Bitcoin-to-Stablecoin Payments on 30+ Chains
Breez's new SDK feature lets developers route Bitcoin payments to recipients as USDC or USDT across more than 30 blockchains.
Breez has launched a new software development kit feature that allows developers to convert Bitcoin payments into stablecoins — specifically USDC and USDT — delivered across more than 30 blockchain networks, the company announced. The update removes a long-standing friction point in crypto payments by eliminating the need for end users to hold stablecoins themselves before sending them.
The feature works by letting senders pay directly from their Bitcoin balances while recipients receive funds denominated in stablecoins. That split — Bitcoin on the sending side, stablecoins on the receiving side — could make the tool particularly attractive in markets where dollar-pegged assets are preferred for settling transactions but Bitcoin remains the primary store of value for senders.

By targeting developers through an SDK, Breez is positioning the technology as infrastructure rather than a consumer product, betting that app builders will embed the conversion layer into wallets, point-of-sale tools, and remittance platforms. The breadth of blockchain support — spanning more than 30 networks — signals an intent to meet recipients wherever stablecoin liquidity already exists rather than pushing users toward a single chain.
The move arrives as stablecoin adoption continues to accelerate globally, with USDC and USDT collectively processing trillions of dollars in on-chain volume annually. Bridging Bitcoin's liquidity to stablecoin rails could lower barriers for businesses that want Bitcoin payment optionality without exposure to its price volatility at the point of settlement.
